1 positive and 1 negative control
 

2 x 25 µl diluted patient serum or plasma
1. incubation:    1 hour at room temperature
2. incubation:    1 hour at room temperature

Lambert-Eaton Syndrome; differential diagnosis of myasthenic syndromes

Healthy donors <25 pmol/l; grey zone up to 40 pmol/l

Samples of the following patient groups were measured:
SLE  n = 7
Diabetes mellitus (IDDM)  n = 10
Graves' Disease  n = 14
Hashimoto Thyreoiditis  n = 23
Myasthenia gravis  n = 20

None of these samples showed an VGCC antibody concentration higher than 25 pmol/l.

8 patients with known Lambert-Eaton Syndrome - with and without small cell lung carcinoma - showed concentrations between 37 and 620 pmol/l
